Book 1 – A conversation between Qingling and the Zebracorn. First written in Mandarin by Meifeng, a descendent of Quingling.
Qingling: Why are you called the God-eating Cosmos-creating Zebracorn?
Zebracorn: I am a Zebracorn because I have a body and stripes like a zebra and a horn like a unicorn. I created the Cosmos and I sometimes eat gods. I am called the God-eating Cosmos-creating Zebracorn.
Qingling: Why do you eat gods?
Zebracorn: When a god gets too tired and too sad to continue working, the god comes to me to be eaten. I eat them so they can go back into my imagination where they came from.
Qingling: How did you create the Cosmos?
Zebracorn: I created the Cosmos with my imagination. As you may know, after a lot of space-wandering energy was squashed into a very small space, the energy caused a very big explosion, a big bang. The big bang made lots of matter which is the Cosmos. Matter would not have been created, if I hadn’t imagined it.
Qingling: Was it easy or difficult to create the Cosmos?
Zebracorn: Creating the Cosmos was quite complicated. It was like throwing a key at a door until the key goes into the lock. But, when the key finally goes into the lock, a door is opened and a new journey begins.
Qingling: Is it difficult to create something from your imagination?
Zebracorn: It’s very difficult to create something using ONLY imagination (with only energy and creativity). Sometimes, creating things from your imagination is not so difficult. When you go to the beach, you can imagine a sand castle. There is sand, water and you have hands so making the sand-castle from your imagination is much easier.
